Interesting Activities in Fort Point

Fort Point is considered an up-and-coming neighborhood and attracts considerable amount of attention from locals and tourists alike. It’s a wonderful place to visit, especially if you want to spend a day just relaxing and exploring the area. It’s easy accessible with bus, cabs, or Fort Point shuttle. At Be Driven, we encourage our customers and tourists to explore this area if they want to explore the local food, culture, and atmosphere. Here are some interesting activities to try in Fort Point:

Visit the Trillium Brewing Company

This family-owned company is one of the most popular attractions in the Fort Point area. They conduct tasting hours where you can sample three of their drinks that are brewed on the premises. They also offer Belgian-style house India Pale Ale, so if craft beers are your poison, you shouldn’t miss the Trillium Brewing Company.

Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum

Boston Tea Party is arguably one of the most important and significant events in American history; and the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum will help you experience that. You can sign up for an hour-long guided tour with actors dressed in 18th century clothes. It’s fun and family-friendly and will introduce your children to important aspects of our nation’s history in an entertaining manner. If you visit at the right time, you can purchase tickets to the annual re-enactment of the Boston Tea Party event that happened in 16th of December 1773.

Institute of Contemporary Art

If you love art and design and want to spend an afternoon exploring the talents of various contemporary artists, you should visit the ICA. It was established in 2006 and sits on the sea port. You can see works from artists like Adriana Varejao, Ragnar Kjartansson, and Christina Ramberg. You can also attend music events, special talks, and guided tours.

Harborwalk

Harborwalk is very scenic and is a great place to relax, stroll, or simply look at the sea. It encompasses the entire shoreline and passes by the Children’s Museum, ICA, and John Joseph Moakley Courthouse. You can also take a water taxi to the area or book a Fort Point shuttle to access it directly.
